Subscription platforms: Earning as a social influencer
In recent years, social influencers have recognised the power of building one’s personal brand. And platforms such as Instagram, Youtube and Facebook have allowed thousands of selfie-taking, vlog-making content creators to not only grow their personal brand but build a fanbase.
But, there is one small catch – influencers can’t earn directly from these platforms.
Subscription platforms like SoSpoilt allow any type of creator to earn directly from their content. This means there’s no need to chase elusive brand or sponsorship deals or sky-high follower lists to make some cash.
Love what you do
Michelle M, a content creator with over 82.5k followers on Twitter, started selling subscriptions on SoSpoilt earlier this year.
In just one month alone, the 33-year-old Londoner earned £13,200 by simply uploading photos and chatting to her fans and subscribers.
“I love what I do,” says Michelle. “It doesn’t even feel like work. I joined SoSpoilt to make a bit of extra cash alongside modelling. I never thought I’d receive so much support from my online fans.”
Choose wisely
Although it’s easy to start earning on subscription platforms, it’s not so easy to choose the right one.
As it becomes easier for creators to easily monetise their influence, thanks to the recent rise in creator platforms but this means its important to do your research before deciding on the platform for you.
Hard-working creators know it takes more than posting a few selfies to sell subscriptions and build a successful profile. It’s equally as important to recognise that not every platform is right for every creator.
